Charlie Oliphant

Meet Charlie Oliphant, co-founder and Operations Manager at 100 Gardens. Charlie is a long time friend of the late founder Ron Morgan and began working with Ron and Sam on the first garden system. He provides experience in building systems along with organizing the financials and business operations for 100 Gardens.

Charlie has a master of accountancy degree from Brigham Young University. He began his accounting career with a large accounting firm and boasts a three plus decade career as a financial executive in international public and domestic private companies in the financial, manufacturing and nonprofit sectors.

Along with his financial role, Charlie works with students weekly as a teacher and role model. Charlie’s breadth of skills in the trades and business acumen means he is just as likely to be found teaching a student how to fix a broken pipe as he is to be showing a class the business model for selling lettuce.

Although claiming no unique skills in gardening, growing plants is in his blood. His great-grandfather established the first nurseries in Utah; his grandfather was a professional gardener, and his schoolteacher father provided a significant portion of the family’s nutrition from homegrown gardens and orchards. Charlie enjoys volunteering with youth groups and completing acts of service through the church. Charlie and his wife have three sons and are now enjoying one of the greatest benefits of parenting: grandkids.
