Meet Britt Weaver, 100 Gardens President of the Board of Directors. Since joining the organization in 2015, Britt’s journey has been a testament to his unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.
Educated at Harvard Business School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Britt has cultivated a diverse background spanning various industries. He began with sales and marketing at The Procter & Gamble Distributing Company and moved on to pivotal roles as Director of North American Marketing at Beiersdorf AG and Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at S3 Inc.
Passionate about environmental causes, Britt has actively contributed to renewable energy projects, historic building rehabilitation, and solar hardware installations. Currently, Britt is a Principal at Black Point Investments where he recently completed the historic rehabilitation of the long dormant Converse Mill textile mill into 173 housing units.
Britt’s dedication extends to the community and public education. He has championed public schools since serving as PTA president 20 years ago and is proud that his three children all graduated from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system. Britt is passionate about 100 Gardens; mission to enrich education through sustainable gardening practices. For fun, Britt enjoys open-water swimming, much like our tilapia. Residing in Charlotte with his wife, Britt embodies the spirit of leadership, innovation, and philanthropy that drives 100 Gardens forward.
