Chris Triolo brings nearly 30 years of experience in public and private education, serving students and educators from PreK through 12th grade. He began his career as a biology teacher and later held several leadership roles, including curriculum specialist, principal, and Assistant Superintendent. During his leadership tenure, he also served as a Regional Director for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. As a committed educator, Chris has focused on strengthening instruction, expanding STEM opportunities, and building partnerships between schools and community organizations to accelerate learning for all students.
A former science teacher, Chris is passionate about bringing hands-on, experiential learning into the classroom. He has seen firsthand how high-quality STEM education can engage students and expand opportunities for learners of all backgrounds.
Chris supported the partnership between 100 Gardens and North Kannapolis Elementary School, recognizing the powerful role aquaponics can play in connecting science, sustainability, and food systems through real-world learning. In addition to his work in K–12 education, he serves on the Governance Board for Cabarrus College of Health Sciences.
